Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Attendeum platform, including our website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Services.

These Terms set out the standard conditions for using Attendeum. Where Attendeum Szoftver Kft. and an Organizer enter into a separate written agreement, that agreement may extend, supplement, or override these Terms for that Organizer as described in Section 9.

1. Definitions

  • "Attendeum" refers to the Attendeum platform operated by Attendeum Szoftver Kft.
  • "User" refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Services.
  • "Organizer" refers to users who create events through the Services.
  • "Attendee" refers to users who participate in events created through the Services.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Services.
  • By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
  • Users must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of their account.
  • Accounts are non-transferable and intended for personal use only.

4. Event Creation and Management

  • Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of event details, including schedules, locations, and ticket availability.
  • Organizers must ensure that their events comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Attendeum reserves the right to remove events that violate our policies.

5. Ticketing and Payments

  • All payments are processed through Stripe; we do not store payment details.
  • Refunds are subject to the event organizer's policies. Attendeum is not liable for disputes between organizers and attendees.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless explicitly stated or if the buyer provides an email address during checkout for each ticket.

6. User Conduct

Users agree to:

  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes.
  • Refrain from uploading or sharing harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content.
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Do not use the Services for terrorism, illegal activities, or the preparation or execution of any criminal offense.
  • Do not use AI-based tools and features for purposes other than direct interaction with the product.

Attendeum reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.

7. Data Usage and Privacy

  • Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • Users agree to the collection and processing of their data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitations of Liability

  • Attendeum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not responsible for any damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to data loss or service interruptions.

9. Individual Contracts with Organizers

These Terms apply by default to all Users of the Services.

If Attendeum Szoftver Kft. and an Organizer enter into a separate written contract (for example a service agreement, order form, statement of work, or similar commercial agreement), that contract may:

  • Extend or supplement these Terms (for example with custom pricing, support levels, setup services, SLAs, or additional modules); and/or
  • Override specific provisions of these Terms for that Organizer's relationship with Attendeum, to the extent expressly stated in the contract.

In case of conflict between these Terms and such a written contract:

  • The written contract prevails over these Terms for the Organizer and the subject matter covered by that contract.
  • These Terms continue to apply to matters not addressed in the contract, and to Attendees and other Users who are not parties to that contract, unless the contract expressly provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section creates an obligation for Attendeum to offer custom contracts; they are available where agreed in writing.

10. Changes to the Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
  • Changes to these Terms do not automatically amend a separate written contract with an Organizer; that contract is governed by its own amendment terms.
